CSCS Training and Test Certificate (Online)
Overview
This FREE four-week adult-only (19+) online part-time evening course is ideal if you are looking for accreditation to be able to work on construction sites across the UK.
Whether you are completely new to the trade or returning to learning after some time away, do not worry. Our tutors have many years of experience supporting adult learners back into the classroom and will guide you every step of the way. You will study in small, supportive classes alongside other like-minded adults, creating a relaxed and encouraging learning environment.
What will I study?
You will gain an understanding of the health and safety requirements of a construction site:
- Health and Safety in the workplace
- Health and safety Regulations
By the end of the course, you will have developed understanding and confidence in essential health and safety principles.
Start date, attendance and fee
- Start date - TBC
- Attendance - Three weeks online learning followed by one week on-campus test at the Derby Road Campus (Mansfield)
- Fee - Free/£75*
Elibigiblity to attend for free:
- Aged 19+ (on the start of the course)
- Living in eligible postcodes
- Annual income is less than £33,796.80 and you live in the EMCCA area (Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire) OR your annual income is less than £25,750 and you live outside the EMCCA area (non-devolved)
- Economically inactive** but seeking work
- Claiming one of the eligible benefits.

Completing this course could lead to working as a labourer, ground operative or as a maintenance assistant, either employed or self-employed.
