Applying to West Notts College is quick and straightforward – and by applying early, you’ll secure your place for September.

Don’t worry if you change your mind about the course, or even about coming to college – our admissions team can easily update or remove your application if needed.

  • Step 1 – Find your course

    Browse our courses online and choose a subject that matches your interests and career goals.

    Not sure what career is right for you?

  • Step 2 – Apply online

    When you’ve found a course you like, go to the course page and click the green ‘Apply online’ button. You’ll be asked to set up a myVISION account, where all your application details will be stored.

    Applying for A Levels

    • You can choose up to four A Level subjects.
    • Simply apply for one subject, set up your myVISION account, then select your other subjects from the full list.

  • Step 3 – Submit your application

    Fill in our simple step-by-step online form and click the blue ‘Submit application’ button.

    • Within 48 hours, you’ll receive an email confirming your application.

    Once you’ve applied, you can track your progress anytime by logging into your myVISION account.


What happens next?

Your offer

You’ll automatically receive a conditional offer, as long as you meet the course entry requirements (exceptions: Step-up, Progress and MTFC courses). Accept or decline your offer by text, email, or via your myVISION account.

Meet your tutors

You’ll be invited to a mandatory curriculum information event. This is your chance to:

  • Meet your tutors and support teams
  • Learn about transport, finance and bursaries
  • Discover what college life is really like.

Stay updated

We’ll keep in touch with important updates on finance, support, transport and everything you need to prepare for college.

Visit our Applicant Zone – your one-stop hub for information about college life, enrolment, and more.

Enrolment

In early summer, you’ll receive an invite with your enrolment date and time. At enrolment, you’ll:

  • Officially become a West Notts student
  • Receive your timetable, travel information, ID card and lanyard
  • Find out about bursaries and grants.

Away on holiday during enrolment? Don’t worry – contact us to arrange an alternative date.

Even if you don’t meet the entry requirements, still attend enrolment – we’ll discuss alternative courses with you.

Induction

To help you settle in, you’ll take part in a fun one-week induction with activities, tutorials and sessions designed to make your transition into college smooth and enjoyable.
