  Our full-time students regularly showcase their talents at events, including sharing demonstrations of their work and best practice in catwalk shows to members of the public. You can also enter nationally recognised competitions, such as WorldSkills.

  As a full-time student, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your passion and skills in two pop-up salons, College Cuts (our barbering learning company) and Elegant Make-up Artistry.

  Our aim for make-up artistry is to boost our clients' confidence and make people feel welcomed, no matter who they are. We want to provide people with transformative makeovers to make them feel like they have a new lease of life. We will provide a variety of styles of makeup and different treatments to grow our clientele and make sure we provide something for everyone.

  Not only will you refine your make-up artistry skills, but you’ll also develop a range of transferable skills like teamwork, customer care, communication, and money handling. The pop-up salons, which can be located in college social spaces, festivals, and shopping centres, provide a platform to work with an audience of diverse clients.

  College Cuts is a pop-up barbering learning company offering free barbering services to college students. The pop-up shop makes regular visits to other college sites to offer quick trims and facial hair services.

  From crafting business plans to executing marketing campaigns and managing clients, you’ll engage in a variety of tasks that nurture your business expertise, boost your confidence, and prepare you for future employment – whether you choose to work for someone else or establish your own business.

• Purpose-built facilities

  Once you have gained the appropriate skills and experience necessary, you are invited to work and learn in Revive, our commercial hair and beauty salon. Revive is open to the public and includes facilities that are unrivalled in the area. Recently, we’ve opened a laser clinic for skin rejuvenation and permanent hair removal. Find out more about Revive.

  Through our top industry connections, our full-time students have the opportunity to complete work placements and apprenticeships.

  Staff from Ragdale Hall Spa often hold workshops in the salons to offer students career advice on how to apply for roles at the spa. In addition, classes often visit the facility to see what employment at a prestigious spa is really like.
