Overview

This adult-only (19+), part-time course is perfect if you are looking to retrain, upskill, or begin a career in massage therapy. Whether you are returning to education after a break or starting fresh, you will be fully supported by our experienced tutors who have many years of experience helping adult learners succeed.

You will study in small class sizes alongside like-minded adults, creating a friendly and supportive learning environment. All practical training takes place in Revive, our professional commercial hair and beauty salon that is open to the public and equipped with industry-standard facilities that are unrivalled in the area, giving you valuable hands-on experience.

This course will help you develop the skills required to provide professional body massage treatments. You will learn classical Swedish massage movements and how to adapt massage techniques to suit individual client needs. You will also gain essential knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and client care, ensuring you can work confidently, safely, and professionally within the industry.

Fee - £941

Don’t let paying for the course hold you back from achieving your goals. You can split the cost of this course over four instalments. If you wish to pay in instalments, you will be required to pay 25% (£235.25) of the total fee on the day of enrolment and a Direct Debit mandate would then to be completed to enable the college to collect further three payments of £235.25. The payments will be taken on the date you choose on the Direct Debit mandate form.

All hair and beauty courses also require the purchase of a specific kit and uniform. It is your responsibility to finance these purchases independently, as there is no funding currently available. Please be aware that the prices for the required kit and uniform will be determined at the start of the year. Entry requirements
This course is only available to students aged 19+
- Level 1 Functional Skills in English (or equivalent OR a Level 2 beauty therapy qualification.
Careers
This course will prepare you for employment as a massage therapist. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance.
Career opportunities as a beauty/massage therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including:
- Working in commercial beauty salons/spas/cruise liners
- Working in a retail concession in a department store
- Working independently/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings.
