Beauty Therapy - Level 4

Overview

Are you an adult learner with a passion for beauty and a desire to excel in your profession? Look no further! Our part-time course, specifically designed for individuals aged over 19 who are looking to up-skill, currently working in the industry or want to go into management, is the perfect opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in advanced beauty practices.

Join us on a single day per week in a small class size as we delve into the world of reducing hair growth using intense light and laser treatments, and rejuvenating the skin with intense light and microdermabrasion. By enrolling on this vocationally related qualification, you'll gain comprehensive expertise in product chemistry, the physiology of ageing, and the principles of dermatology and microbiology.

We also go beyond the technical aspects of beauty therapy and cover salon management, offering you the chance to learn valuable skills in PR, marketing, and research. Broaden your horizons and set yourself apart in the industry by mastering essential management functions.

Our qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the reputable standard-setting body for hair, beauty, nails, and spa qualifications.

Start dates and fees

Start date - September 2026 – you will be in college one day a week (currently this is Mondays, 9.15am-3.30pm)

Fee - £5,421

Don’t let paying for courses hold you back from achieving your goals.

There are different funding routes available for adult learners. Dependent on your personal circumstances, you may be eligible to:

• Apply for an  Advanced Learner Loan
  • You may be able to get an Advanced Learner Loan to help pay for your course tuition fees. There’s nothing to pay upfront, and you won’t start repaying the loan until you’re earning over £25,750 a year. Even then, you’ll only repay 9% of anything you earn above that amount - and any remaining loan is written off after 30 years.
• Split the cost of courses over four instalments
  • If you wish to pay in instalments, you will be required to pay 25% (£1355.25) of the total fee on the day of enrolment and a Direct Debit mandate would then to be completed to enable the college to collect further three payments of £1355.25 bi-monthly. The payments will be taken on the date you choose on the Direct Debit mandate form.

All hair and beauty courses require the purchase of a specific kit and uniform. It is your responsibility to finance these purchases independently, as there is no funding currently available. Please be aware that the prices for the required kit and uniform will be determined at the start of the year. • Management of health, safety and security in the salon

• Quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector
• Salon management
• Public Relations (PR) in the hair and beauty sector.

Some modules will be delivered by a science tutor in one of our labs where you’ll take part in experiments.
