Looking to pursue a career in the nail and beauty industry?

This course is designed to expand on previous manicure and pedicure knowledge. You will develop practical and theoretical skills in providing and maintaining nail enhancements using UV gel nail systems.

You will benefit from hands-on learning, gaining practical experience under the guidance of experienced teachers. The course combines both theoretical knowledge and real-world application, ensuring you develop the confidence and industry-ready skills needed to work in the nail and beauty industry.

Time

10.00am-2.00pm (Saturday)

The course fee can either be paid in full or in four instalments.

If you wish to pay in instalments, you will be required to pay 25% (£836.25) of the total fee on the day of enrolment and a Direct Debit mandate would then to be completed to enable the college to collect further three payments of £836.25 bi-monthly. The payments will be taken on the date you choose on the Direct Debit mandate form.

All hair and beauty courses require the purchase of a specific kit and uniform. It is your responsibility to finance these purchases independently, as there is no funding currently available. Please be aware that the prices for the required kit and uniform will be determined at the start of the year. What will I study?

This course is both practical and theory-based and includes:

Anatomy and physiology of the nail
Equipment information and brush care
Application of nail enhancements

We will provide you with a step-by-step guide to cover:

Tip application
Zoning
Blending
Re-balancing the nail application
How to apply natural nail overlays
Safe removal.

Entry requirements
This course is only suitable for learners aged 19 or over.
You will need to have good skills and knowledge in manicure and pedicure. You will need to attend an interview with a college beauty tutor.
Progression
This course is for students interested in nail techniques. It is an excellent option if you wish to progress into a career in the nail industry. On successful completion of this course you will hold a qualification at Level 2, with the opportunity to move on to Level 3 courses and enhance your knowledge further.
