Hospitality and Catering - Level 2

I’m enjoying practical sessions like lunch services and my work placement outside of college. In practical sessions, we do dinner service where we’re on four different stations and we prepare food for the restaurant.

We’ve gone on a trip to Cosmo’s where we got to try lots of different types of food and learn a lot more about different cultures food. At Thoresby Hall Hotel we got to learn how a restaurant works and experience firsthand what it’s like.

The tutors are very supportive and they’re always happy to help us if we need help.

For my work placement, I went to The Carnarvon and worked as a kitchen assistant which included prep of vegetables, and plating and serving food.
