T Level in Health
Currently, I’m enjoying getting to know a lot of knowledge and understanding what we do in healthcare and how to implement that into practice. Our facilities are really good. We’ve got the ward that helps us put into practice what we’re learning in class, so if we’re learning about observations, we then learn how to actually do them on patients that are simulated for us to practice.
Guest speakers have come in to talk to us about the different careers we could go in to, and visited different universities to look around and keep our options open.
The tutors are really good, and dedicated to helping us by supporting us any way they can and make sure that everything they’re teaching us we understand to be able to put into practice.
My work placement is at King’s Mill Hospital which is really good. It’s a lot of getting into how we do things including bed making, observations, and chatting to patients so we can get a better feeling of what we’d be doing in a career.
