Travel and Tourism - Level 1

This course offers a hands-on introduction to the travel and tourism industry, with a strong focus on practical learning. You will develop essential skills such as customer service, communication, teamwork and problem-solving through real-world activities and industry-style scenarios.
You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in our mock travel agency environment, where you will practice selling holidays and travel products. Learning is interactive and engaging, including role-play exercises, practical tasks, and team projects designed to mirror real situations in travel, tourism, and aviation.
The course also includes visits to local visitor attractions, allowing you to explore both natural and man-made tourism sites, and carry out research and case studies as part of your learning.

- Entry requirements
- GCSE English language and Math at grade 2-9.
If you are not studying a traditional GCSE programme, we accept alternative qualifications like Functional Skills and vocational courses.
If you are not planning on sitting GCSE exams, we can also support you with completing an English Language and Maths assessment.

You will be assessed mainly via coursework and practical activity based, allowing you to demonstrate your skills in realistic travel and tourism scenarios.
You will build a portfolio of work throughout the course which may include:
