What will I study?

You'll explore a wide range of exciting and essential topics designed to prepare you for a successful career in the travel and tourism industry. From learning how the industry works to building the skills employers are looking for - this course gives you a solid understanding of travel, tourism, and aviation.   • The UK travel and tourism industry - Gain a solid understanding of the structure and key sectors within the UK travel and tourism market.

  • Understanding package holidays - Learn how package holidays are designed, including components like flights, accommodation, and activities.

  • Entry requirements

    This course is only availble to those aged 16-18 years.

    • Four GCSEs at grade 3-9 including English Language and Maths

    OR

    • Successful completion of a relevant Level 1 course and GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 3-9.

    If you are not studying a traditional GCSE programme, we accept alternative qualifications like Functional Skills and vocational courses. If you are not planning on sitting GCSE exams, we can also support you with completing an English Language and Maths assessment. Please contact our admissions team for further details:

  • Assessment

    You will be assessed through a combination of methods to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the subject. These include:

    • Coursework - You will complete a variety of assignments based on real-life scenarios, demonstrating your knowledge and practical skills.
    • Portfolio - You will build a portfolio of work that showcases your learning and development throughout the course.
    • Practical assessments - You will participate in hands-on activities, such as planning events or role-playing customer service situations. This mix of assessments will help you apply your learning in different contexts and prepare you for the workplace.
