Ensure that you understand behaviour that challenges with this FREE online course. Designed for health and social care workers, this Level 2 qualification will enhance your understanding of legislaion and support, providing support following an incident, and how to manage situations.

You will have guidance from an assessor throughout your studies, and we also offer free short digital and IT courses for adults to help you build confidence before starting a qualification like this.

What will I study?

  • Understand how to manage a situation when an individual is acting in a challenging manner
  • Understand how to prepare to manage an incident of behaviour that challenges
  • Understand how to recognise that an individual’s behaviour has the potential to intensify
  • Understand legislation and support relevant to behaviour that challenges
  • Understand own role in providing support following an incident of challenging behaviour.

  • Attendance - 133 hours
  • Fee - FREE for adults aged 19 or over.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
While this course may be offered to you free of charge, failure to complete the course may result in a £125 administration fee. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with non-completion.

  • Entry requirements

    This course is only available to adults aged 19+.

    • No specific entry requirements, but a minimum of a GCSE grade 4-9 in English and Maths (or equivalent) is recommended
    • Applicants must live in England and not live in the locations listed here
    • Applicants must have been living in the UK for the last 3 years.
  • Assessment
    • The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance.
    • All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a Pass – there is no grading.
  • Progression

    Options to consider available through other training providers:

    • Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care - Level 3 
    • Diploma in Adult Care - Level 3 
    • Diploma in Healthcare Support - Level 3 
    • Diploma in Healthcare Support Services - Level 3.
