  • Cost - FREE for adults aged 19 or over (on 31 August 2025), regardless of employment status.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
While this course may be offered to you free of charge, failure to complete the course may result in a £125 administration fee. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with non-completion.

  • Entry requirements
    • No specific entry requirements, but a minimum of a GCSE grade 4-9 in English and Maths (or equivalent) is recommended
    • Applicants must live in England and not live in the locations listed here
    • Applicants must have been living in the UK for the last 3 years.
  • Assessment

    The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance.

    All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a Pass – there is no grading.

  • Progression

    Options to consider available through other training providers:

    • Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings - Level 3
    • Award in the Principles of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities - Level 3
    • Award in the Role of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator in Private, Voluntary and Independent Early Years Settings - Level 3
