Barbering - Level 2
I’m enjoying all the opportunities that we’re getting as part of the course, including guest speakers that are doing barbering that have spoken to us about how they’ve come from where we are now to where they are currently which is really fun to see.
Upstairs we have a life-like salon alongside a real-life salon with clients which gives you more of the real feeling of going to collect your client, bringing them back in, and doing the consultation.
I’m currently doing my work placement at Millers Barbers, and I’ve completed my 60 hour placement and I’m now on my industrial one. One of the best things about my placement is the staff watching and helping me learn more. I’ll watch a cut, and then I’ll do a cut in the chair next to the staff member helping me so it’s really good, and I think if you can get a good placement that’s the best thing.
