Hospitality and Catering - Level 3

Coming from Level 2 to Level 3, I get to do more including cooking a lot more fun food, and get a lot more responsibility which is really good. At West Notts, we have Refined, our restaurant, which is amazing. In my area (the kitchens), we’ve got three main kitchens: Kitchen one is where you run service for the food, and kitchens two and three are for prep for service and for workshops where you get to develop dishes.

We had a guest speaker come in last year who has won medals for cooking for England.

For my work placement last year, I went to a little café where I already worked, and got to go in the kitchens every Wednesday. This year, I’m at the same café but I’m going to be in the kitchens full-time every weekend and Friday evenings.
