T Level Education and Early Years (Early Years or Assisting Teaching)

I think the best part about the course is going to work placement and getting a hands-on experience in the school setting. Last year, we went to the nursery world convention in London which helped us to gather an idea of different strategies that they use in the early years setting.

We had a guest speaker coming from the NSPCC to talk to us about safeguarding children.

The tutors are very friendly and supportive. They’re always there to help you with your work if you need advice, even outside of college hours.

I’m in a reception class in a primary school and it helps you get a very big idea of what it’s like working in an outside setting compared to being in college. It helps you build an idea of how children develop further and you get to work with your mentor.
