What is the Sewing course?

The Sewing course at West Notts College is a practical adult leisure course that helps you develop sewing skills for home, fashion and creative projects. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience, you'll learn in a friendly, supportive environment where you can work at your own pace and create projects that reflect your interests.

You'll explore a wide range of sewing techniques while making your own items, from simple beginner projects through to more advanced creations. Bring your own fabrics, patterns and sewing machine if you have one, or hand sew if you prefer. Our experienced tutors will provide expert guidance throughout the course, helping you build confidence and develop your skills.

If you've been away from education for a while, don't worry. Our tutors specialise in supporting adult learners and will help you every step of the way.

After completing the course, you'll have the opportunity to progress onto one of our other sewing courses to continue developing your knowledge and practical skills. Please note, that as a returning learner, this would then involve a cost per session. The course tutor will explain the options during the course, but feel free to get in touch should you require further information.
