Digital Skills and Customer Service in Preparation for Work
Overview
This free course is designed to help adults build the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Delivered in small, supportive, adult-only classes, it provides a welcoming environment where learners can develop at their own pace.
You will gain a strong understanding of customer service, including the role individual employees play in creating positive customer experiences and how customer service protocols help businesses achieve high levels of satisfaction. Alongside this, the course develops essential digital skills for the workplace, such as handling information, creating and editing digital content, and communicating effectively using digital tools. You will also learn how to stay safe and responsible online and how to proactively solve common technical problems.
The course focuses on building effective communication skills, enabling you to share information clearly and confidently in a variety of ways. You will also develop the skills needed to prepare for, take part in and reflect on interviews, helping you present yourself positively to employers.
Whether you are aiming for employment, an Apprenticeship or further study, this course will help you prepare effectively. If you are unsure about your career direction, you will be supported to explore your skills and qualities and match them to potential career pathways.
Do not worry if you have been out of education for some time. Our tutors have many years of experience supporting adult learners back into the classroom and will guide you every step of the way.
