Overview

Are you ready to start a career in the security industry?

This FREE* three-week adult-only (19+) part-time course is designed to help you gain the skills and qualifications needed to work as a licensed door supervisor.

The course provides the essential training required to apply for an SIA licence, preparing you for work in venues, events and other security roles. It also includes a guaranteed job interview, helping you take the next step towards employment.

You do not need to worry if it has been some time since you last studied. Our tutors have extensive experience supporting adult learners and will guide you through the course in small, supportive classes with other like-minded adults.

Please note: Before starting the course, you will attend a short session called "Thinking of working in security?". This includes a brief interview to assess your suitability and eligibility for the course.

Places are limited, so apply early to avoid missing out.

  • Entry requirements

    This course is only available to adults aged 19+.

    • Been a resident in the UK for the last 3 years
    • Be unemployed and in receipt of qualifying benefits OR employed but earning less than £25,750 per year (proof required)
    • Working at a minimum of a Level 1 in English and Maths
    • No criminal convictions
    • Haven’t previously gained an SIA licence
    • Completion of the ‘Thinking of working in security?’ session.
