Please note: Prior to starting the course, you’re required to attend a session called ‘Thinking of working in security?’. This will involve a short interview to assess your eligibility for the course.

Days: Monday to Friday (three consecutive weeks).
Time: 9.00am–5.00pm.

Be aged 19 or over (on 31 August 2025)
Been a resident in the UK for the last 3 years
Be unemployed and in receipt of qualifying benefits OR employed but earning less than £25,750 per year (proof required)
Working at a minimum of a Level 1 in English and Maths
No criminal convictions
Haven’t previously gained an SIA licence
Completion of the ‘Thinking of working in security?’ session.
