Motor Vehicle - Level 3

On this course you will gain the skills and knowledge required to work at a technician level in the motor vehicle industry. You will study complex engines, chassis, transmissions and frames, and health and safety within the workplace.

- Advanced diagnostics on systems including vehicle electrics/electronics
- Engine management and transmissions
- Petrol and diesel
- Engines ignition systems.
- Entry requirements
- GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 4-9 plus successful completion of a relevant Motor Vehicle - Level 2 course.
If you are not studying a traditional GCSE programme, we accept alternative qualifications like Functional Skills and vocational courses. If you are not planning on sitting GCSE exams, we can also support you with completing an English Language and Maths assessment. Please contact our admissions team for further details:

- Assessment
You will complete a portfolio of evidence covering workshop tasks and related online exams and phase tests for each topic you study as well as four 1,200 word assignments. You will also be expected to have completed maths and English at grade C or above or Functional Skills Level 2. Those students who are 16-18 and have completed Functional Skills Level 2 will be expected to continue to work towards GCSE grade C or above in both English and maths.
