AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping - Level 2

Overview

This adult-only (19+) part-time course provides an excellent starting point if you wish to begin a career in accountancy or finance, or gain formal recognition for existing bookkeeping skills.

This qualification is suitable for:

• Those already working in finance who want a recognised qualification
• Individuals returning to work after a break
• Career changers looking to enter the accounting profession
• Those who have already started studying AAT bookkeeping and wish to progress

You will study the following units:

• Introduction to Bookkeeping
• Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
• Principles of Costing
• The Business Environment

Do not worry if you have been out of education for some time. Our tutors have many years of experience supporting adult learners back into the classroom and will guide you every step of the way. You will study in small, supportive classes alongside other like-minded adults, creating a relaxed and encouraging learning environment.

Start date, attendance and fee

• Start date - April 2026.
• Attendance
  • Option 1: One day per week
  • Option 2: Two evenings per week
• Fee - £724

The course fee includes: tuition, access to the online learning platform, hard copy text books, and the first attempt at each exam.

Don’t let paying for the course hold you back from achieving your goals. You can split the cost of this course over four instalments. If you wish to pay in instalments, you will be required to pay 25% (£181) of the total fee on the day of enrolment and a Direct Debit mandate would then to be completed to enable the college to collect further three payments of £181. The payments will be taken on the date you choose on the Direct Debit mandate form.
