AAT Business Environment Synoptic - Level 2
Overview
This adult-only (19+) part-time course is designed for those looking to strengthen their understanding of the wider business and accounting environment in a flexible way.
Our AAT provision allows you to study individual units, meaning you can:
- Learn at your own pace
- Avoid being tied to an academic year
- Choose a pay-as-you-go approach
In this unit, you will develop your understanding of:
- The principles of contract law
- The external business environment
- Corporate social responsibility, ethics and sustainability
- The impact of different business structures
- The finance function within an organisation
- The importance of information to business operations
- Producing professional work in appropriate formats and communicating effectively
Do not worry if you have been out of education for some time. Our tutors have many years of experience supporting adult learners back into the classroom and will guide you every step of the way. You will study in small, supportive classes alongside other like-minded adults, creating a relaxed and encouraging learning environment.

- Option 1: One day per week
- Option 2: Two evenings per week
- Fee - £451.50
You will also need to purchase an AAT student membership at the appropriate level for your course. The membership fee lasts for the whole duration of the qualification. Please visit aat.org.uk for current membership fees and payment information.

- Entry requirements
This course is only available to adults aged 19+.
- GCSE English Language and Maths grade 4-9/C-A* (or equivalent).
- You must also have completed the Introduction to Bookkeeping and Principles of Bookkeeping Controls units before starting this course.
