Warehouse Apprentice (Supply Chain)
Bunches is looking to recruit a proactive warehouse apprentice. This is a role with great potential to move into a team leader and supervisory position but first of all you start your learning in the goods in, stock and quality control areas of the business. What will the apprentice be doing?
You will receive training in all aspects of your job role; your key focus will be:
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against orders - flowers, plants, hard goods and packaging - including manual handling to Bunches' health and safety standards
- Carrying out goods-in quality control checks: freshness, cold-chain compliance, damage, and conformance against supplier specification
- Locating and storing stock accurately within the warehouse's location system and keeping location records up to date
- Supporting stock counts and inventory accuracy checks and helping investigate discrepancies
- Recording goods-in and quality data accurately in the relevant systems
- Flagging non-conforming stock and escalating supplier quality issues via the agreed process
- Following Bunches' hygiene, HACCP, dry goods storage and glass contamination policies
- Attending apprenticeship training and completing assignments and off-the-job learning hours
- Working under the day-to-day direction of the Team Leader or Shift Supervisor, while starting to take on informal peer-support and buddy duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2.
This is a blended delivery model. For the first three weeks of your're apprenticeship, you will attend college for high impact learning twice a week. After this, your learning will predominantly take place in the workplace although you may be invited to participate in wider learning activities from time to time.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, it is intended that you will progress onto a level 3 apprenticeship that will give you additional new skills and knowledge and support you as you step up into a team leader role. There is a three-stage pathway for your development into a supervisor.
