Apprentice New Product Development (NPD) Engineer

Radius Systems is offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice New Product Development Engineer to join its Technical Team.This apprenticeship combines practical workplace experience with college-based learning, giving you the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and experience needed to build a successful career in engineering.

  • What will the apprentice be doing?

    You will undertake a series of placements in different areas of the business.

    These may include:

    • Product Engineering - combining design, engineering, and manufacturing processes to create and maintain innovative products
    • Research and Analysis –Rigorous development testing of new and existing products to British and International standards
    • Assembly and Manufacturing Engineering - Front line problem solving and improvement projects in the manufacturing area, including development of knowledge on manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection moulding, and machining
    • Where applicable, you may also experience business functions outside of Engineering, such as Finance, Customer Service, Quality, Applications, and Sales to gain a full understanding of our business
  • What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

    • This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering Campus
    • This attendance is required during term time only
    • You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession
    • You will experience a blended learning model
