Maintenance Technician Apprentice

This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in building and facilities maintenance. As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced team at the ITP Aero Hucknall site, learning how to maintain and repair building fabric, mechanical services, and general facilities infrastructure.

  • What will the apprentice be doing?

    • Assist in the delivery of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks across the site.
    • Support reactive maintenance works, learning to diagnose faults and assist with repairs.
    • Help maintain building fabric including doors, windows, partitions, flooring, and ceilings.
    • Assist with basic plumbing, drainage, and mechanical plant maintenance under supervision.
    • Shadow experienced engineers on HVAC, compressed air, and general building services tasks.
    • Complete job records, permits to work, and maintenance logs with guidance.
    • Develop knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to maintenance activities.
    • Keep tools and equipment clean, organised, and in good working order.
    • Attend college or off-site training as required by the apprenticeship programme.
    • Build working relationships with client staff and represent Serveo Industria professionally.
  • What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

    This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Construction Campus. This attendance is required during term time only.

    You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

    You will experience a blended learning model.

  • What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

    Full-time employment upon completing apprenticeship successfully.
