Apprentice Technical Author

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering team as an Apprentice Technical Author, where you will develop valuable technical and professional skills while supporting the creation and maintenance of documentation for innovative mobility products.

  • What will the apprentice be doing?

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with creating, updating and formatting technical documentation
    • Support the maintenance of installation and work instructions
    • Help manage Factory Acceptance Documentation (FAT) and revision control
    • Maintain technical records across internal systems and group portals
    • Support product data management and Bill of Materials (BOM) activities
    • Work with engineers and technical teams to gather and organise information
    • Develop knowledge of engineering drawings, manufacturing methods and product structures

  • What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

    This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering Campus. This attendance is required during term time only.

    You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

    You will experience a blended learning model.

  • What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

    Full time employment upon completing the apprenticeship successfully.
