Biography

I spent nine years teaching computing to students at West Nottinghamshire College and then changed roles to supporting students with barriers to learning in education. I then decided to teach in the painting and decorating department. I spent some 12 years of my earlier career in this industry and gained my qualifications to advanced craft Level 3 and construction supplementary studies and an ONC certificate. I spent some time teaching painting and decorating at Kirklees College, Huddersfield before moving back south to Nottinghamshire.

It has been refreshing to link back with industry while teaching the next generation of painters and decorators the skills that will allow them to go out into the community and industry and flourish.

There’s nothing more rewarding than supporting students to realise their dream of getting a job in their chosen career path.

I love to travel and experience new cultures and cuisines from around the world.
