What is Project SEARCH?

Project SEARCH is a one-year internship programme for young people, aged 18-24 with additional needs including an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). It is targeted at those whose goal is competitive employment in the community.

Opportunities are very diverse and includes hospitality, catering, administration, grounds, domestic services and more. Interns participate in three rotations to explore a variety of career paths after completing a 3-week induction.

Each intern works with a team that includes their family, a tutor, job coaches, and host business mentors to create an employment goal, and to support during the transition from education to work.
