Biography

Liz arrived in Nottingham in 2010 to study Law at Nottingham Trent University and chose to make it her home ever since.

During her university years, she took on a role at a local secondary school’s student engagement program, inspiring young minds to reach their potential and aim for higher education. This early experience of mentoring set the stage for her future career in teaching and training.

After graduating, Liz became a project manager at a leading product research facility, collaborating with big household brands to navigate the complex journey from concept to market. Her role involved everything from managing research projects to training panellists and product testers, sparking a realisation that education and training was her true calling.

Liz then embarked on a new chapter, taking a career break to devote her time and energy to raising her two young children. Now, she’s returned to the professional world with the business team at West Nottinghamshire College, where she specializes in teaching Level 3 BTEC Business. She has a special passion for the employment law unit, where she brings legal concepts to life in the classroom.

Outside of work, Liz is a festival enthusiast, a countryside explorer, and a foodie always on the hunt for new restaurants to try with friends. Whether she’s hiking with her family or soaking up the festival atmosphere, she’s always on the lookout for her next adventure.
