Trainer/assessor: Beauty therapy
Biography
Hi my name is Helen, my role at college is beauty therapy assessor and commercial trainer. I coach and assess all levels of beauty therapy to support learners gaining essential technical skills.
I have worked in the beauty industry for over 17 years. My experience in industry started in a town centre salon/spa that was based within Virgin Active Gym, at the time called Virgin Spa in Nottingham. Whilst there trained in the Virgin Vie products and Decléór. I then worked at Eden Hall day spa, in Newark for seven years, where I worked with product brands such as Elemis, Jessica, Thalgo and Spa Find.
Whilst working there I progressed from beauty therapist, to senior therapist, then up to beauty therapy co-ordinator and became their in house trainer for any treatment and product training. It was here where I gained my passion for teaching, and during completion of my teaching qualifications moved into teaching and assessing within colleges. I can’t wait to use this experience and wealth of knowledge to support you on your journey on your beauty course.
