Overview

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Barbering has been designed to develop your barbering skills to a high level of occupational ability and will prepare you to enter the barbering industry.

You will develop knowledge, understanding and skills to enable you to advise and consult with men on how they can achieve their desired look, as well as the type of haircut and facial hair styling that would be most suitable for them. You will also learn how to work in a safe manner for both yourself and your clients.

Entry requirements
This course is only available to students aged 19+
- Level 1 Functional Skills in English (or equivalent).

Assessment
You will need to provide your own models for practice and assessments.
You will also need to complete written assignments and online multiple-choice exams for every unit.

Funding options
The course fee can either be paid in full or in four instalments.If you wish to pay in instalments, you will be required to pay 25% of the total fee on the day of enrolment and a Direct Debit mandate would then need to be completed to enable the college to collect a further three payments taken monthly. The payments will be taken on the date you choose on the Direct Debit mandate form.
All hair and beauty courses require the purchase of a specific kit and uniform. It is your responsibility to finance these purchases independently, as there is no funding currently available. Please be aware that the prices for the required kit and uniform will be determined at the start of the year.
