Overview

This 12-week part-time course will equip you with the ability to identify the principles applied to, the processes involved, and the components used in the construction of electrical panels for engineering applications. You will also learn the techniques used in inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical panels and associated equipment.

  • £700 per person plus assessment cost*

*Assessment cost will be discussed with employers, as this is dependent on the availability of resources in the assessment location. If assessors or delivery staff are required to travel out of the local area, a travel cost may also be required.


What will I study?

  • Working safely during the assembly, installation, commissioning and repair of electrical control panels
  • Procedures for the design, assembly and installation of electrical control panels
  • Understand how to maintain, inspect and test electrical control panels
  • Assessed on the building and commissioning of an electrical control panel.
  • Entry requirements

    This course is only available to learners aged 19+

    • Experience in industrial electrics/panel wiring*
    • GCSE English Language and Maths grade A-C/4-9.
