Apprentice Recruitment Administration Assistant

Due to further growth in services available to our students, we are seeking an administrative assistant to join our team. If you enjoy data entry and have a great eye for detail, we'd really like to hear from you.

  • What will the apprentice be doing?

    • Accurately input and maintain learner, employer and apprenticeship data on college systems.
    • Take an active role in data cleansing activities on twice annual basis, ensuring the department remains GDPR compliant.
    • Produce professional documents including letters, reports, spreadsheets, presentations and meeting documentation.
    • Work with departmental colleagues to ensure current students are registered effectively for recruit services.
    • Update various platforms with information in a timely manner as it is made available to you.
    • Support the planning, organisation and delivery of apprenticeship selection and recruitment events, including booking rooms, preparing resources and communicating with attendees.
    • Create and maintain accurate candidate enrolment files, ensuring all documentation is complete, organised and up to date.
    • Handle confidential information appropriately and always ensure full compliance with GDPR and the College’s data protection policies.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, employers, applicants and external partners via telephone, email and face-to-face conversations.
    • Share accurate information promptly with relevant colleagues to support efficient service delivery.
    • Assist with the management of the candidate assessment platform, creating profiles, monitoring completions, reporting on and creating solutions to overcome challenges.
    • Monitor shared inboxes and respond to enquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member.
    • Support the Employer Engagement team with administrative tasks as required to meet departmental objectives.
    • Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
    • Assist with marketing for Recruit candidates. This is internal marketing to existing students but should be dynamic and effective to drive results.
  • What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This is a blended delivery model using one-to-one visits from your specialist and monthly planned group sessions (Masterclasses) that support your growth as an apprentice. These sessions are pre-planned and take place outside of your place of work.

  • What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Initially, this is an apprenticeship position but, as you near completion, there may be other opportunities available within the college that you would be actively encouraged to apply for. Any added responsibility will be accompanied by training to support which may include an apprenticeship at a higher level.
