Process Engineering Apprentice

We are recruiting for a Process Engineering Apprentice to join our team in Ripley. Start your career in engineering with a hands‑on apprenticeship at Forbo in Ripley. You’ll learn how our Flotex product is made, how our manufacturing processes work, and how to solve real problems in a manufacturing environment. 

  • What will the apprentice be doing?

    As part of your apprenticeship, you will develop practical skills and knowledge in areas such as:

    • Working safely in a manufacturing environment
    • Understanding how the Forbo Ripley site and the Flotex products are manufactured
    • Support Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Quality teams with day to day production issues
    • Planning, improving, monitoring and evaluating processes to make them more efficient
    • Supporting the introduction of new products and new processes
    • Quality control, problem solving and continuous improvement
    • Building core engineering, IT, communication and presentation skills
    • Review and update process documents such as process maps and control plans
    • Complete all apprenticeship training requirements and successfully pass the End Point Assessment
  • What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

    Full time permanent position available to the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
