Mechanical Engineering Apprentice
We have a fantastic opportunity for 4 x new apprentices to join our Machine Shop department to become fully skilled engineers in all aspects of the machine shop.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- To produce batches of parts as instructed
- To identify tooling requirements
- To have an understanding of the works order administration system
- To carry out routine maintenance as required
- To be able to use and interpret engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings, technical data and computer-generated programmes
- You will be expected to be able to set up, operate and adjust/edit equipment settings as applicable to the machine tool being used
- When using CNC equipment, you will be expected to be able to produce, prove and/or edit programmes

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Machining Technician Level 3.
This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our engineering campus (NG17). This attendance is required during term time only.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
To become a fully qualified CNC Machinist in a permanent role.

Qualifications
GCSE maths, English and a Science included (x5 req) (Grade 5) Essential
