Maintenance Engineering Technician Apprentice

  • What will the apprentice be doing?

    As an apprentice you will work alongside skilled electrical and mechanical machine tool engineers.

    Duties performed are planned machine servicing, safety checks, calibration and machine improvement projects.

    There will also be an element of reactive maintenance repairing and fixing machines/equipment that have broken down.

    You will have access to electronic machine maintenance reporting systems to help plan customer priorities and identify machine issues in the factory.

    You will also learn to diagnose machine problems and read mechanical and electrical schematics.

  • What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

    This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering Campus (NG17). This attendance is required during term time only.

    You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

    You will experience a blended learning model.

  • What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

    Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will be eligible to apply for a skilled role within ITP Aero UK, which provides a base salary of £40,207.00 per annum, plus appropriate shift premium on top
