- Register your interest
Ready to become an apprentice? Your first step is to register your interest with us (for those still in school, we highly recommend you do this at the start of your final year of GCSEs). FAQs
- Who can apply?
Apprenticeships are available to anyone aged 16 and over (subject to eligibility). They are a great opportunity for those who are:
- Early in their career
- Looking to upskill in their current job
- Looking for a career change.
- When can I apply?
Many of our current vacancies are looking for people to start almost straight away, so we recommend that you register your interest as soon as possible. If you are under 16 and in your final year in school, we will work with you until you are able to start an apprenticeship.
- What industry sectors offer apprenticeships?
We currently offer apprenticeships in the following industry sectors
- Business, retail and management
- Construction
- Digital and IT
- Education and Early Years
- Engineering
- Hair and Beauty
- Finance
- Transport and Logistics
However please visit the gov.uk website to search for apprenticeships in your area.
- What levels are available?
We currently offer three different levels of apprenticeships:
- Intermediate - Level 2 (like GCSEs)
- Advanced - Level 3 (like A Levels or T Levels)
- Higher – Level 4 and 5 (like foundation degrees)
- What are the entry requirements?
Apprenticeships are real jobs, so each employer sets their own entry requirements. These can vary, so always read the vacancy carefully. Not all employers focus on grades - they’re also looking for enthusiasm, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn. If you’re unsure, get in touch with our friendly team who are always here to help, 0800 121 8317.
- How long does an apprenticeship take to complete?
It depends on the apprenticeship level you're studying and the type of job, but most last between one and four years.
- How much will I get paid?
Pay varies by company and apprenticeship level, so it’s worth doing some research. There’s a minimum wage for apprentices, which changes every April.
- Would I get paid holiday leave?
Yes! As an apprentice, you’re a real employee - so you’ll get things like paid holidays and access to company benefits, just like other staff. Most full-time apprentices get around 20 days off a year, plus bank holidays, but it can vary depending on the company.
- I’m a school leaver, what if I don’t get accepted the first time I apply?
Applying for a college course as well as apprenticeships gives you more choice and a solid backup plan. It’s totally fine to do both and it can boost your chances of success. If you start a college course, you might still move into an apprenticeship later. Apprenticeships can be competitive, so keep applying, stay positive, and keep building your interview skills. The more you do, the more chances you’ll have.
- Do I find my own employer or do you help with this?
We can match you with employers who are looking for apprentices and guide you through the interview process. Already found your own employer? We can still help by providing the training. Whatever your situation, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
- Will I still have the job at the end of the apprenticeship?
Most employers want to keep apprentices on – they’ve trained you and value your new skills. But it can depend on the business situation at the time. Your best move? Work hard, show your value, and prove they made the right choice hiring you. Even if a job isn’t available at the end, you’ll have gained valuable skills, experience, and a strong reference to help you land your next opportunity.
Apprenticeships are a fantastic option after leaving school, but since they’re just like applying for a job, there’s no guarantee you’ll be selected. Recently, there are even fewer apprenticeship vacancies, making competition tougher than ever.
Whether you're looking to strengthen your workforce, give back to the community, or prepare for the future, hiring an apprentice could be the perfect solution for your business. It’s easier than you think!
