Biography
Reece was a student at West Notts College, completing the Level 3 diploma/NVQ in site carpentry and wood occupations, whilst also achieving a student of the year award. Reece later returned to college to further his studies by competing a construction and built environment course.
Reece began his career working as an apprentice site carpenter working on small to medium sized projects learning a wide range of construction processes. He then ventured into the bench manufacturing environment working closely with construction outfits that focused on modular building and modern methods of construction.
Reece then decided to change career and moved into the education sector. He bagan working at West Notts as a sessional staff member, but later secured a full-time position as a trainer assessor which enabled him to continue his studies with a Certificate of Education course. This then led to Reece becoming a full-time teaching staff member.
Recently Reece has again progressed within his career to programme area leader where he continues to teach learners but also help with the day to day organisation of the carpentry and joinery department.
