Sewing
Overview
Study sewing for FREE* at West Notts College!
Improve your sewing skills in a relaxed, supportive environment where creativity takes centre stage. Bring your own materials and get expert guidance to create items of your choice – from handmade gifts and clothing to unique home accessories. You can bring your own pattern or learn to make one from scratch, and choose to hand sew or bring your own sewing machine – it’s completely up to you!
You’ll also learn practical alteration techniques to breathe new life into unworn clothes, transforming them into something new and personal. Explore the art of pattern cutting and start designing and making garments that reflect your individual style. Whether you're mending, customising, or creating from scratch, this course is the perfect place to stitch your ideas to life.
As an added bonus, you’ll also have the opportunity to showcase and sell any products you create through a brand-new pop-up shop, developed in partnership with our full-time business students. It’s a great chance to share your work with the community, gain real selling experience, and support a student-led enterprise.
