This adult-only part-time course focuses on producing and analysing financial statements for limited companies.
You will learn how to:
Draft financial statements in line with accounting concepts
Apply international financial reporting standards
Interpret statements using financial ratios
Evaluate business performance and financial position
With small class sizes and expert teaching, this course supports you to build confidence and progress towards higher-level accounting roles.

This unit provides you with the skills and knowledge for drafting the financial statements of single limited companies and consolidated financial statements for groups of companies. It ensures that you will have a proficient level of knowledge and understanding of international accounting standards, which will then be applied when drafting the financial statements. You will also have a sound appreciation of the regulatory and conceptual frameworks that underpin the preparation of limited company financial statements.

You will also need to purchase an AAT student membership at the appropriate level for your course. The membership fee lasts for the whole duration of the qualification. Please visit aat.org.uk for current membership fees and payment information.
This course is only available to students aged 19+.
You will be assessed by an external exam on campus.
Full membership of the AAT and entry for ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA qualifications upon completion of the full qualification.
