Esports (Advanced) - Level 3

Overview

As Esports has developed it has created thousands of new jobs across the world, and it’s an industry that is still rapidly expanding. Globally, the industry is expected to be worth $1.9billion by 2023.

With competitions like the League of Legends World Championship offering substantial prize money, being a player is an attractive option, but not the only career choice. Like any sports team, wrap-around care is needed; from coaches and sports psychologists, the industry needs designers and games creators, broadcast crews, promoters, sales, marketing and PR teams to name but a few.

Helping you to pursue a variety of Esports-related careers, this two-year course provides the opportunity to build skills in leadership, strategic thinking, analysis, problem solving, dexterity and improving processing and reaction times and most importantly teamwork and communication; essential skills for any job.

Practical skill development will include project management, event planning and budgeting, character and environment design and asset creation, graphics, branding and typography, broadcasting for TV and online and developing business development plans.

Besides studying on this fascinating course, you will also have the chance to compete in national or regional tournaments as part of a college team.
