There are several projects such as the refurbishment of the Thoresby Road site or creating a gigantic rooftop Christmas tree at Derby Road campus. Because the college is constantly expanding and improving, there are always plenty of projects to get stuck into, and a wealth of different opportunities to see the construction industry in action.
Under the watchful eye of experienced teachers, you’ll get to help with wiring, plumbing, plastering and more, while contributing to the ongoing improvement of your own college, while upskilling yourself beyond the classroom.

Our facilities
Our the years, we have continued to heavily invest in our impressive construction centre; providing dedicated practical and interactive learning spaces for each trade.
Spreading across multiple floors, our painting and decorating area has been designed to provide students with life-like facilities and the ability to practice techniques on practice rooms.
In our open-plan brickwork and carpentry and joinery areas, students have the freedom to master their skills in their own dedicated zones. With access to a wide range of tools and materials, you will have everything you need.
Our electrical and plumbing facilities are also set up to recreate reallife situations and provide access to different appliances, tools and materials which you will work with in the future.
With future plans in place for a new additional site, the learning opportunities are endless.
