Staff Remote Connection
Step-By-Step Guide

Step 1 - VPN
Follow the instructions in the information box above, or download the instructions here, to connect to the VPN.

Step 2 - Remote Desktop
Download the remote desktop connection file here and then run the file, following the on-screen prompts.
If you are using a Mac, you will need to download Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store.

brief video guide available.

Step 3 - Log In
For your username, you should enter it as follows: idnumber@westnotts.ac.uk;
for instance, if your college username is joh123456 then you should enter joh123456@westnotts.ac.uk. Your password is the same as your
normal college password.
