Health and social care
courses
Why choose health and social care at West Notts?
Work experience placements
Practical experience in this sector is essential. Our students will learn to understand the health needs of real people within a care setting, discovering first-hand how different illnesses and conditions require specialist care and attention.
Tutors with industry knowhow
Our health and social care tutors come with a wealth of skills and knowledge including previous work experience in health and care settings, and knowledge of first aid, fire safety, safeguarding children and COSHH – so they really know their stuff!
Study up to university-level
Courses in health and social care provide a rewarding experience. Once you’ve qualified and gained skills and knowledge required to work in the health and care sector, you could choose to become an apprentice or work in a wide range of support roles. Alternatively you may decide to progress on to careers at university level such as nursing, midwifery, social work and paramedic sciences.
