Principles in customer care
Aim
To develop the learners’ knowledge of customer service principles and their importance to an organisation. Learners will find out about how to meet customer expectations and how standards of presentation and behaviour affect customer satisfaction and expectations. Learners will also learn about current legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements, including the importance of data protection.

Retail knowledge - sales
Aim
To provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of selling within a retail environment. It introduces learners to the selling process and the purpose of product information.

Retail knowledge - stock control
Aim
To provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of stock control systems and the procedure for replenishing, moving, handling and storing stock within a retail business.

Time management
Aim
To develop time management skills, including understanding key aspects of time management, and the importance of time management in a work or study context.

Warehouse and storage
This unit is for people working within the logistics sector.
It covers two main areas:
- Identifying hazards.
- Safely handling goods manually.
Learning outcomes
- To be able to confirm with appropriate people the goods that require moving or handling.
- To be able to manually move or handle the goods.
- To be able to identify any problems with moving or handling the goods manually and take appropriate action to deal with them.
Working safely
Aim
To enable the learner to work safely in a work environment.
