Overview

You will be given an understanding of safeguarding in adult social care, equality, diversity and human rights, duty of care and more.
The Want 2 Work series is for people who are currently looking for entry-level employment in industry.
The topics within this course have been carefully selected to give you awareness of some of the key areas within adult social care and will give you basic knowledge that can be discussed in an interview or prepare you for further study.
Distance learning courses enable you to undertake learning in a flexible way; you can study around your existing commitments and responsibilities, and it is great for developing your confidence in your newfound skills.

- The distance learning courses are completely free for anyone aged 19 or over (on the 31st August 2024), irrespective of their current employment status, but applicants must not live in one of the locations listed here.

While this course may be offered to you free of charge, failure to complete the course may result in a £125 administration fee. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with non-completion. Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
All applicants must live in England and NOT live in one of the locations listed here.

How long is the course?
There are 20 dedicated guided learning hours within this course. These hours are made up of online learning modules studied in your own time, at your own pace.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed by online tests, subject to external quality assurance. Where indicated in the unit specifications, assessments must meet the requirements of the identified pass grade (usually 80%).
