Certificate/Diploma in Travel and Tourism with Aviation Studies - Level 2

Overview

This course consists of a range of core and specialist units that will provide an in-depth study of the travel and tourism sector.

Units include worldwide travel and tourism destinations, resort representatives and an introduction to the cruise industry.

Trips and residentials are an integral part of the course.

Entry requirements

GCSE English and maths with at least grade 3/D or the Functional Skills equivalent and two other GCSEs with at least grade 3/D; or a

Level 1 qualification at merit level and GCSE English with at least grade 3/D or Functional Skills Level 1.

16-18 year old applicants:

You will need to supply a copy of your most up-to-date school/college report or a reference from a teacher/employer. Please upload this to your myVISION account by the end of May 2021.

19+ year old applicant:

You will need to supply a written reference either from a recent educational institution or employer. Please upload this to your myVISION account by the end of May 2021. If you are not able to gain a reference, please contact admission@wnc.ac.uk for further advice.

Start dates and fees

You will be required to pay for a UK residential visit as part of the course. A uniform will also be required. This course is free to those aged under 19 years.

Study programmes - essential skills for employment

As an entry requirement on some of our courses, you will need a GCSE in both English and maths with at least a grade 4/C (please see entry requirements above).

If this isn’t displayed under the entry requirements and you don’t currently have a GCSE in both English and maths at grade 4/C or above before joining us, you will then study English and maths as part of your programme with the aim of achieving a qualification with at least a grade 4/C. This is to help improve your chances of employment once you leave us.

In addition, to help you gain essential skills for employment, all students aged 19 and under and studying a full-time course with us will take part in our study programmes.
