This practical, supportive course is designed to help individuals who are feeling stuck, unsure how to present themselves to employers, or need help navigating the job market.

FREE for adults aged 19 or over (on 31 August 2025), unemployed and in receipt of qualifying benefits, or employed earning less than £25,750 per year.

What will I study?
- Career kickstart – Boost motivation, set realistic career goals, and learn effective job search strategies
- CV and cover letter crafting – Learn the importance of tailoring your CVs and the impact persuasive cover letters will have in making you stand out to employers
- Mastering job applications – Learn how to complete applications accurately, disclose convictions appropriately, and access support services
- Interview mastery – Develop strong interview skills, master the STAR technique, and understand workplace expectations.
Entry requirements
- Aged 19+ or over (on 31 August 2025)
- Attend an assessment centre before the start of the course
- Achieve a minimum of an Entry Level 3 on a literacy assessment whilst attending the assessment centre.
How long is the course?
Three days.
