Introduction to Construction Multi-Skills - Entry Level


Our course is aimed at facilitating candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in construction multi-skills.

Entry requirements

This course is only available to 19+ learners.

No previous experience or skills are required.

Start dates and fees

  • If you are 19+ and unemployed and receiving relevant benefits – the course is FREE
  • If you are 19+ not receiving benefits the course will cost you £75

How long is the course?

The course will take 5 weeks, for a total of 30 hours and you will study in the evening.

How will I be assessed?

Practical assessment.

What does the course lead to?

Completing this course could lead to working as a specialist in a specific subject area within construction or as a maintenance professional, either employed or self-employed. 

Large employers in the local area include council maintenance departments and schools.

What will I study?

You will study:

  • Basic skills in Bricklaying
  • Basic skills in Carpentry & Joinery
  • Basic skills in Painting & Decorating
  • Basic skills in Plastering.
