This 4 week part-time evening course is aimed at facilitating candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Carpentry & Joinery.

What will I study?
You will be:
- Carrying out Carpentry activities
- Carrying out Joinery Activities
- Using hand held planes and chisels
- Producing basic woodworking joints
- Producing a basic woodworking frame
Entry requirements
- This course is only available to learners aged 19+.
- No previous experience or skills are required.
How long is the course?
4 weeks.

Practical assessment.
What does the course lead to?
Completing this course could lead to working in a junior role in carpentry and joinery within construction or as a maintenance professional, either employed or self-employed.
Large employers include local council maintenance departments and schools.
