Building Services - Level 2
Overview
This exciting course is an ideal first step into the world of construction, that teaches you the basic and more advanced skills, knowledge and behaviours for your chosen trade. You will study a range of core units, plus units that relate to your chosen pathway. After completing the course, you can progress onto an apprenticeship or a Construction T-Level. To start to develop specialist skills, you will have to pick one of three pathways to study.

- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Air-conditioning.

Entry requirements
- Grade 3 in English and a grade 4 in maths.
- Plus, an initial assessment and aptitude test/or completion of the Level 1 Building Services course.
- If you have trade experience over the grades required, a basic aptitude test will be required.
Study programmes - essential skills for employment
As an entry requirement on some of our courses, you will need a GCSE in both English and maths with at least a grade 4/C (please see entry requirements above).
If this isn’t displayed under the entry requirements and you don’t currently have a GCSE in both English and maths at grade 4/C or above before joining us, you will then study English and maths as part of your programme with the aim of achieving a qualification with at least a grade 4/C. This is to help improve your chances of employment once you leave us.
In addition, to help you gain essential skills for employment, all students aged 19 and under and studying a full-time course with us will take part in our study programmes.
